How to set up Connect to stream music via DLNA from my NAS, computer or smartphone / tablet?

Dynaudio Connect can be used as a DLNA Digital Media Renderer (DMR) to stream PCM stereo audio files from a smartphone or tablet, local server, NAS, or computer directly to Xeo 2 / Xeo 4 / Xeo 6 (or Focus XD) speakers via Connect. Depending on the device and operating system, many different options for software, both free, trial and payed, that is capable of DLNA streaming are available. Some operating systems (like Windows Media Player in the latest Windows versions) or most NAS (Network Attached Storage) systems even come with DLNA capabilities. Please follow the instructions provided by the software manufacturer for help, details on setup and configuration.

Please note:

  • In order to stream music via DLNA to a Dynaudio Connect the Connect needs to be set up with your wireless network (2,4GHz only) - please refer to the Connect manual on how to establish a WiFi connection.
  • Once you've set up your DLNA server / player and selected Connect as DMR, the "DLNA input" needs to be selected via the Xeo Master Control remote, button 4 (USB) for Connect to playback the music received.
