Please note: The following only applies to Xeo Transmitter (Xeo 3 / Xeo 5)
Xeo Transmitter uses the 2.4 GHz frequency for signal transmission.
Up to 11 channels are available on this frequency. Since other devices (network routers, Bluetooth, baby monitors, surveillance cameras, movement sensors, other wireless and radio devices, microwave ovens, lighting) also use or influence this 2.4 GHz frequency, drop-outs or interference can occur depending on the frequency load.
In addition, transmission quality is dependent on spatial conditions (distances, walls, materials). Hence there are three areas where the Xeo connection can be improved:
Optimisation of Xeo signal transmission
Up to 11 channels are available on the 2.4 GHz frequency, shared by various wireless devices. Xeo automatically looks for a free channel, where possible (factory setting: Frequency Switching Mode), or can be fixed to a specific channel range (optional: Fixed Frequency Mode).
Fixed Frequency Mode is recommended if interference can be heard in music playback or if the range of the radio remote control is restricted.
Carry out the following Fixed Frequency Mode one after the other in A B and C setting until an interference-free mode is discovered.
Frequency Mode
- Switch the loudspeaker "ON" via the Xeo remote control.
- Set Transmitter Id (to "A", "B" or "C") via the switch on the back of the Xeo transmitter.
- Point the remote control to one loudspeaker and press Transmitter button "A", "B" or "C" on the Xeo remote control accordingly and keep pressing the button.
- Speaker LED will begin flashing. The currently selected Frequency Mode will be indicated. Keep pressing the button.
- Speaker LED will briefly flash red. Keep pressing the button.
- Speaker LED will continue flashing blue. The factory-set Frequency Switching mode will be indicated. Keep pressing the button.
- Speaker LED will briefly flash red once more. Keep pressing the button
- Speaker LED will begin flashing blue. The optional Fixed Frequency mode will be indicated.
- Now release the Transmitter button on the remote.
